RESULTS

The result of the project assembly & functionality test.

TOP SECTION

The top section of the robot was fully functional with the wireless connection range, which was more than what was expected. The camera was easy to use and to be connected by its app to any smartphone. The operator can video record, take pictures, change the position of the camera for all directions  360°, just by a tap on the app.

Limitations:

-The fluid tank’s pump was able to pump fluid to the nozzle, and the spray can reach 2 meters away from the robot. If a smaller nozzle was used, the spray might reach higher than 2 meters, and that will be tested in the future.

BOTTOM SECTION

The bottom section of the robot was fully functional with a wireless connection range was more than what was expected. The wheels were able to run the robot at a constant speed of 2mile per hour, even though it’s not an ideal speed, but it has enough torque to make the robot clime at 45 degree’s ramp.

Limitations:

-The robot running speed is limited to 2 mph, and it can be improved by replacing the wheel’s motors with more expensive and higher RPM motors.

REMOTE CONTROLLER SECTION

Of the Fire Fighter Robot™

The PCB was able to be wirelessly connected with the remote and then powered and controlled all the Bottom and Top Sections of the robot without any technical issues.

Limitations:

-One of the main issues that might reduce the connection range by 50% or even to 100% if the robot was controlled from behind isolating walls, such as thick concrete and masonry walls as 2' thick.
